4- Internet, TV, multi-media-system and gaming

Below you’ll find instructions for the internet and the use of the TV’s, Netflix and the access to the video library (which is mostly in english). 

INTERNET:

You will find the internet access codes on the IPAD in the kitchen. Internet via WiFi is not accessible on the third floor.

TELEVISIONS:

The TV’s are connected to a SAT-receiver for ASTRA, with French and mostly german TV. But all televisions in the bedrooms are connected to the internal media server and the internet (more info below). On the server you’ll have a wide range of movies and TV Series in english. Use the remote control or download the “Medion Life Remote” app on your smartphone.

DVD-Players: The three 80 cm TV’s have an integrated DVD-Player. The DVD library can be found close to the living room TV.

MULTI MEDIA SYSTEM IN THE TV & GAME ZONE:

To watch TV (french mostly):

• turn on the MEDION TV with the MEDION remote control
• turn on the white FREEBOX with the white “FREE” remote control
• turn on the sound bar with the small remote control and select “AUX” and adjust volume with this remote control only
• verify that the volume of the TV is “0” and the volume of the FREEBOX is “max”

To watch Netflix on APPLE TV

• turn on the MEDION TV with the MEDION remote control
• turn on APPLE TV with the silver remote control (push any button)
• turn on the sound bar with the small remote control and select “AUX” and adjust volume with this remote control only

To change the language of Netflix movies (to english)

• On the Apple TV Remote select “Menu” until you’re in the Apple TV (not Netflix) menu.
• Select “Settings”, then   “Audio & Video”, then  “Audio Language”.
• Subtitle in “Subtitle Language” if so desired for movies not in your language.

TO LISTEN TO YOUR OWN MUSIC: 

You can connect your device via bluetooth to the following sound systems:

• Sound system in the Sauna: Click on the “source” button, the select “pair” to pair your Smartphone to the sound system (MD84756). The default code is “0000”.
• Sound system in the TV-Game zone: push and hold the BT-button until “Pair” appears. Search the BT Device TVS264 and connect.

TO USE THE HOUSE INTERNAL MUSIC and VIDEO LIBRARY:

To access the video library (mostly in english):

• For the gaming area, main TV: Set the TV in the TV Mode (see above). Select red “Free” button on the white Free-TV remote control. In the Free-Menu, select “Magneto”, then select “was-server”, then “videos”, then “by folder” then “videos” then brows through the folders. Most movies here are in english.
• With the Bedroom TV’s: Turn on the TV. Wait up to 30 seconds for the system is connected to the internal media server. A small media icon will shortly appear on the left hand corner of your screen. Push the “Media” button. Select VIDEO or MUSIQUE, then DOSSIERS and your browse for your files.
• With your smartphone or tablet: Download the VLC app. Search for the internal server online as above.
